Burberry joined the list of cancelled along with Gucci after they released a noose hoodie on the runway in London! Some people are calling it pro suicide, but this my friends is racism.
The models are rocking extreme “baby hairs” which has been made popular by Black Women and Latinas while rocking a noose around their necks. The bland fashion empire that is really only popular for their plaid signature Burberry print released a sorry as apology !
Marco Gobbetti, the brand’s CEO, said in a statement Tuesday that Burberry’s:
“deeply sorry for the distress” the top has caused and has removed it from the autumn-winter collection, along with all images featuring the look.
Riccardo Tisci, Burberry’s creative director, also “apologized” saying :
“while the design was inspired by a nautical theme, I realize that it was insensitive.”
Has racism become the new promo or has it always been around? Last week it was Gucci now Burbery, but fashion empires have been doiing racist ass looks for years. Abercrombie and Fitch are always in the hot seat over racist ish, and H&M was just in the hot seat over “Coolest Monkey In The Jungle”.
I believe that Burberry who is not known for street wear looks knew exactly what they were doing. Ricardo Tisci is always doing something racist in fashion, and I refuse to use my platform to promote their corny names anymore!
