UPDATED VIA TMZ
11:50AM EST— Fox just announced it’s scratching Smollett from the end of the current season. The statement says, “The events of the past few weeks have been incredibly emotional for all of us. Jussie has been an important member of our EMPIRE family for the past five years and we care about him deeply. While these allegations are very disturbing, we are placing our trust in the legal system as the process plays out.”
The statement continues, “We are also aware of the effects of this process on the cast and crew members who work on our show and to avoid further disruption on set, we have decided to remove the role of ‘Jamal’ from the final two episodes of the season.”
It’s clear they heard the complaints of Smollett’s cast members.
Jussie Smollett’s text messages seized by authorities paint him in more of a f*cked light, and it’s getting worse by the day. Authorities seized Jussie’s text messages between he and the Osundairo brothers. In one message from January 23rd Jussie incriminates himself saying:
“Might need your help on the low. You around to meet up and talk face to face?”
Jussie sent this text four days prior to the attack, and two days later the men according to the Nigerian body builder / drug dealer “attackers” went looking for spots to “attack” Jussie. They settled on outside of his apartment because Jussie liked the fact of the camera in front of his building. The camera was facing the opposite direction, so there is not actual footage of the attack, but the police have footage of the two men sitting on a park bench near his house around the time of the incident.
It’s believed Jussie felt comfortable asking Abel Osundairo because Jussie allegedly used to buy ecstasy from him. Jussie Smollett still denies any fake hoax, and TMZ reports he called his Empire cast mates begging for forgiveness.
“I’m sorry I’ve put you all through this and not answered any calls. I wanted to say I’m sorry and, you know me, I would never do this to any of you, you are my family. I swear to God, I did not do this.”
To add to the messyness of this story the FEDS are reportedly upset with Chicago Police, and how they handled their press conference Feb. 22nd !
Apparently the FEDS aren’t done with their investigation of the “threat letter” that Chicago PD said Jussie himself sent to the Empire set, haven’t come to any hard conclusions.
The FEDS is still are looking into that the Osundairo brothers are the ones who sent the letter because of a search of their home . During the search they found magazines with pages missing ! The brothers deny sending the letter.
The FBI also reportedly believes Superintendent Eddie Johnson “went too far” in his press conference yesterday.
Im rapped out on Jussie, and this bs.
