The legendary film director of cult classic movies like Boyz In The Hood, and Baby Boy John Singleton has passed away the age 51 years old. Singleton had suffered a major stroke steaming from hypertension . John was put into a medical coma, and his family decided to have the doctors take him off of life support.
John’s daughter Cleopatra and his mother are at odds over head of his estate, and it’s not pretty. Cleopatra claimed that Singleton’s mother, Shelia Ward, was “misrepresenting” his condition, according to a court filing obtained by CNN. In it, she wrote that her filmmaker father could be removed from the intensive care unit in the forthcoming days.
“Although they do not have a concrete diagnosis, my dad is progressing every day…he is only medically sedated to keep his blood pressure low and allow the vessels in his brain to heal”
Unfortunately John’s condition was worse than what his daughter wanted to admit. The family is at odds over John’s money, and Cleo thinks Shelia is going to keep her and the rest of her siblings from his money according to TMZ.
Hollywood has taken a great lost, and we hope his family finds healing! RIP John Singleton. Rapped Out
