To Catch A Predator
A 11-year old boy from South Carolina has been reunited with his family after he running away to live with a grown man he met on Snap Chat! The little boy drove alone almost 200 miles from Simpsonville to Charleston in his brother’s car stolen car!
According to cops, the boy used his dad’s tablet GPS function to help navigate the trip. Thank God the boy’s tablet lost the signal upon arriving in Charleston, and he didn’t know where to go! Once he realized he was lost he pulled over.
Reports say that Officer Christopher Braun spotted the boy at 12:30 a.m. Monday morning after peeping that he was the only person inside the car.
After getting the boy’s name and his father’s name, Braun contacted the father, who was in the process of reporting his child missing, and told him what happened. The father and his other son drove to Charleston from Simpsonville to pick up his 11-year-old son and the older son’s vehicle.
You’re Grounded Forever
Now the boy is back with his family! Hopefully his parents intend on keeping a better eye on his internet usage. Let this story be a warning to other parents. For instance we must control how our children use the internet. Also installing certain blockers that restrict content, and time allowed online can be helpful.
